May 2006 volume 6
Volume 6 was controversial: nobody (but me) liked it all. Many said it was all over the map. I say, if the crowd loves your whole set, you didn’t push them hard enough. Notable here was Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy, which was so obviously going to be the song of the summer, it made me rush this out, so I could be the one that told you (check the charts). This CD is still G’s fave, especially Chicago; me, I like Scattered Pearls:
