Volume 2; a little harder to please this time, I started to troll the web for songs that weren’t being played on the radio. Some were, but were so cool I had to include them (Killers, Von Bondies), U2 hadn’t been released yet but was obviously going to be huge; too huge, in fact. I regret including it. No regrets about this one though, by Head Automatica, still a fave of G’s:

The eddieo compilation series began here. Frustrated with the lameness of Boston radio, at least during my waking hours, I trolled the web, picking songs mostly from the late night playlists of WFNX an KROQ (LA). Certainly not discovering anything, I basically time-shifted the good, cutting edge tunes to the daytime. Some became mainstream hits eventually, some didn’t, but all are pretty well known now.
